Only 30 chapters in the U.S. and Canada received the prestigious national award in 2020.
New students placed their 10-pound rocks on a temporary M near the intramural fields last week until they can be relocated to Mount Zion.
Mines students began moving into the apartment-style residence hall Aug.1 in advance of the first day of fall classes on Aug. 24.
“My biggest piece of advice for students is to be proactive and not wait,” Career Center Director Wendy Winter-Searcy said.
Built in 1908 and permanently lit since 1932, the Mount Zion emblem is visible well beyond the Mines campus and the city of Golden. It will be red – in the shape of a heart – every night through the end of the semester.
Recruiters from more than 230 companies and organizations braved the weather Feb. 4 to share their job and internship opportunities with current Mines students and recent grads.
Highlights of the Spring 2020 events calendar include Spring Career Day on Feb. 4 and E-Days on April 17-19.
