Becky Lafrancois named first Swiger Professor for Business Excellence

2-year appointment is funded by $1 million endowed gift by Andy '78 and Sherry Swiger

Becky Lafrancois, teaching professor and director of Mines’ undergraduate economics and business program, has been named the first Andy and Sherry Swiger Professor for Business Excellence.

Her two-year appointment is funded by a $1 million endowed gift and $40,000 in startup funding that Swiger ’78 and his wife made to support the university’s growing business education programming.
