These rankings — based on median ROI using the most current data (2021–2022) on earnings and net price across 551 public institutions — place Mines among the best ROI public colleges in the country, with a proven track record of preparing students for financially rewarding careers.
When expanding the comparison to both public and private nonprofit institutions nationwide (1,549 institutions total), Mines ranks No. 35 in the U.S. for 40-year ROI, outpacing many well-known private universities.
