GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 3, 2013 – Colorado School of Mines ranks among the world’s top universities according to several annual rankings released during the past month:

• U.S. News and World Report: 40^th in Top Public Schools, 49^th in Engineering Schools Whose Highest Degree is a Doctorate, 91^st in Best National Universities.

• PayScale: 3^rd in State Schools for starting salary of $66,700 (U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy ranked 1^st and 2^nd), 36^th among All Schools, public and private, for mid-career salary of $106,000.

• Times Higher Education World University Rankings: 139^th, up from 184^th in 2012-13.
