Community college students in the Mines Academy at CCA will have the opportunity to earn guaranteed admission into any four-year degree program at Mines.
The Office of Academic Affairs at Colorado School of Mines is proud to announce the winners of the 2023-2024 Faculty Awards for excellence in teaching, research and mentorship.
The Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees has awarded promotions to 18 Mines faculty members for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Located at 17th Street and Washington Avenue in Golden, the facility offers 31,000 square feet of coworking, networking, event and classroom space for Mines-connected entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, companies and students to learn, collaborate and launch.
Most recently a professor of practice, Zisch has more than 40 years of experience in international mining operations, serving in leadership roles overseeing operations in North America, Africa and South America.
Representatives from the U.S. Geological Survey and Colorado School of Mines began a new chapter of their partnership on Nov. 13, breaking ground on an innovative USGS Energy and Minerals Research Building.
The 190,000-square-foot building will be occupied by USGS researchers, Mines faculty and students working side by side, with the intent to expand upon the two institutions’ long-standing partnership and history of collaborative research.
“Ever since we launched the Mines Rover pilot in 2021, we have heard loud and clear from the Mines community that they want more transit options to get to and from campus,” said Jason Slowinski, associate vice president of infrastructure and operations at Colorado School of Mines.
Andrew Lattanner is working to advance awareness of the university’s world-leading research and support productive relationships with the U.S. government and federal agencies.
