A new geoscience makerspace has opened on the Mines campus, giving undergraduate and graduate students a place where they can experiment with novel forms of instrumentation and try out their designs

The Office of Academic Affairs at Colorado School of Mines is proud to announce the winners of the 2021-2022 Faculty Awards for excellence in teaching, research and mentorship.

“The national data has caught up with the reality that Mines is a highly active research institution,” said Walter G. Copan, vice president for research and technology transfer at Colorado School of Mines.

Iris Bahar, who officially joined Mines in January, was honored by IEEE for her “contributions to modeling and design of power-aware and noise-tolerant nanoscale computing systems.”
