Mines, Bright Horizons open center to early learners

Aug. 19 marked the start of fall classes at Colorado School of Mines and the continuation of the university's 150th anniversary celebrations.

Colorado School of Mines will welcome 1,774 first-year and transfer students to campus when fall classes begin Aug. 19.

Griffiths is a professor of civil and environmental engineering and previously served as associate department head. He began the new role on July 1.

Frick , who has served as department head of Mines Mechanical Engineering since 2021, will start in the new role July 15.
