Camp, who joined Mines in 1998, received a master’s degree in computer science from MSU in 1989. She is a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and was one of 15 experts on a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine committee that released a report in late 2017 urging action to address the current surge in undergraduate computer science enrollments. She earned her PhD in computer science from The College of William & Mary.
