Snieder receives award from Alexander von Humboldt foundation

Professor Roel Snieder (GP) received a research award from the Alexander von Humboldt foundation. He was lauded for his “seminal work on seismic interferometry paved the way for a new branch of exciting techniques and applications that opened up the diffuse part of the elastic wave field for systemic analysis.”

Moore accepts awards on Mines’ behalf from American Society of Engineering Education

Dean Kevin Moore (CECS) accepted awards on Mines’ behalf from the American Society of Engineering Education in recognition of Mines "Outstanding Achievement in Recruiting the Most New Professional Members" and for "Achieving the Highest Percentage of Faculty Membership in the Rocky Mountain Section." The awards were presented at the 2015 ASEE Annual Conference.

Illangasekare named Soil Science Society of America Fellow

Illangasekare was also named Soil Science Society of America Fellow. Fellow is the highest recognition bestowed by the SSSA. Members of the society nominate worthy colleagues based on their professional achievements and meritorious service. Up to 0.3 percent of the Society’s active and emeritus members may be elected Fellow.
