Mines invites third-party comments for upcoming HLC accreditation visit

GOLDEN, Colo., Jan. 17, 2013 – Colorado School of Mines invites comments from the public about the university in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.

Mines will host a visit April 22-23, 2013, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Colorado School of Mines has been accredited by the Commission since 1960. The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet the Commission's Criteria for Accreditation.

Comments must be in writing and address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. All comments must be received by March 22, 2013.
