GOLDEN, Colo., June 4, 2015 – On behalf of Governor John W. Hickenlooper, Lt. Governor Joe Garcia proclaimed June 4, 2015 as President Bill Scoggins Day. The proclamation cited Scoggins' service, leadership and the university's recognition and awards during his nine years at Mines. Garcia presented Scoggins with the announcement at the Colorado Commission on Higher Education meeting in the Ben Parker Student Center Ballrooms.
