Mines hosting algae biofuels symposium

GOLDEN, Colo., Aug. 21, 2012 – The Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels (C2B2) and Solix BioSystems will host a briefing and tour with local and federal official to show the latest algae research activity within Colorado, discuss commercialization prospects, and answer questions regarding the emerging biofuels industry in the state.

Research scientists and company officials will discuss the role their technology can play in creating jobs and economic growth in Colorado as well as the larger role the technology can play in addressing global fuel and food issues. The event is part of a national campaign by the Algae Biomass Organization designed to showcase the promise of algae.
