Colorado School of Mines wins 2013 PetroBowl

Colorado School of Mines came in first place during the PetroBowl held in New Orleans Sept. 30-Oct. 2. PetroBowl matches Society of Petroleum Engineers student chapter teams against each other in a fast-paced quiz competition. The competing teams are challenged to answer both technical and non-technical questions associated with the oil and gas industry.

PetroBowl increased the number of insitutions competing in the event by six this year, bringing the total number of teams to 36; they included University of Oklahoma, Missouri S&T, Stanford, China University of Petroleum, Texas A&M, University of Calgary, University of Wyoming and Penn State.
