The new interchange at U.S. 6 and 19th Street — one of the main entrances to the Colorado School of Mines campus — was recently featured in The Denver Post. Mines contributed $1 million to the $25 million project to replace the at-grade intersection with a 120-foot-long parkland "lid." From the story: "For years, the approach to the intersection of 19th Street and U.S. 6 in Golden — whether by car, bike or foot — was annoying at minimum and hair-raising at worst.
