Colorado School of Mines, in partnership with GE, welcomed 40 local middle-school girls to campus last week for a free, weeklong summer camp about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and CBS4 Denver was here to cover the story. Launched in 2011, GE Girls Camp is designed to spark girls' interest and enthusiasm in the STEM fields through fun, hands-on activities led by female role models with STEM careers. This year was the first time the camp was held in Colorado and at Mines. The Golden Transcript also covered the camp in its July 5 edition. Full story: F orty girls participate ....
