9News Denver recently came to Colorado School of Mines to hear what Petroleum Engineering Adjunct Professor William Flekcenstein has to say about the fatal April 17th home explosion in Firestone, Colorado. The explosion occurred when two men were working on installing a water heater in the basement, and an investigation is underway to determine whether a nearby oil and gas well, currently owned by Andadarko Petroleum Corporation, could have been the cause.
